Photofra
Trade 5 photos with a stranger. Once a day.
Photofra is a photo exchange app with one rule: trade 5 photos with a random stranger, once a day. No profiles. No followers. No likes. You pick 5 photos, put them in a pack, and submit. Once matched, you open the stranger's pack — one photo at a time, like unboxing a gift. Single-use photos. Equal exchange. The stranger stays nameless. Forever. Every trade leaves a color fragment on the World Color Map — a living map of how strangers see their world. 1 trade per day. Free. iOS.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm the solo developer behind Photofra. The idea started with a simple craving: I wanted to open a trading card pack. But I don't play TCGs. So I thought — what if the "cards" were photos? What if a stranger packed them just for you? That became Photofra. A few things I'm proud of: • The unboxing moment — I spent weeks tuning the animation so it feels like tearing open something real • Equal exchange — you can't open your stranger's pack until you've submitted your own • Single-use photos — once traded, they're gone. That's what makes choosing them feel meaningful This is my first iOS app. Built with Expo + Cloudflare Workers + Neon. AI tools helped me ship features I never thought I could build alone. Would love to hear what you think — and if you try it, I'll be on the other side of your first trade. 🌿
