Photo Slideshow Video
Turn photos into a video with transitions in your browser
Turn a set of photos into an MP4 slideshow with real transitions — entirely in your browser. Drag to reorder, set seconds per photo, pick from 40+ xfade effects for every join, add background music, and export. Rendering runs on FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly: your photos never leave your device. No signup, no upload, no watermark. Free.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built this because every online slideshow maker I tried had the same catch: your photos get uploaded to someone's server, the export is watermarked, or you're pushed into an account before you can render a single frame.
So this one runs real FFmpeg inside your browser. The engine is ffmpeg.wasm — FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly — and the whole pipeline (decode, scale, xfade transitions, encode to MP4) happens in a Web Worker on your device. There is no server-side API call at all; your photos never leave the page.
What it does:
• Drop in a set of photos, drag thumbnails to reorder, set seconds per photo
• 40+ xfade transitions read from the build itself — a different one for every join, or apply one to all
• Optional Ken Burns motion, background music trimmed to the clip length
• Output width / frame rate controls, then export the MP4
What's not great yet: the first visit downloads a ~31 MB WebAssembly engine (cached after that), and it's a single-threaded WASM build, so encoding is much slower than desktop FFmpeg — pick a smaller output width and frame rate for quicker results. Long photo sets will take a while.
Feedback I'd love: which transition you'd want as the default, and whether project save/load (so you can revisit a slideshow later) would matter to you.
