I'm a solo developer. I kept promising myself I'd cut my screen time, then forgetting by noon — the built-in stats were just numbers I'd close instantly.
So I built Phonest. Every morning it hands you yesterday's phone use as a single card, with a witty (sometimes brutal) one-liner instead of a wall of numbers. My favorite part is the 24-hour color band — one strip that shows exactly when you grabbed your phone and when you finally put it down.
You collect a new title each day ("Midnight Scroller"...), build streaks, get a weekly recap, and there's a home widget and shareable cards too.
It's 100% on-device — built on Android's UsageStatsManager, no server, no sign-up. Nothing leaves your phone, and it's all deleted with the app. Free (just a little ad).
