Time Navigator of Human History
Interactive Atlas to navigate the whole History of Humankind
Phersu Atlas is an interactive historical atlas from 3499 BCE to today. With the latest release, it now becomes a single, seamless atlas with clearer navigation and new thematic styles. Infoboxes link directly to events, timelines, genealogies; and expanded datasets (cities, rulers, battles) make exploration deeper and faster. The free version includes tens of thousands of polity and event timelines, plus full access to the years 1177 BC, 120, 1648, 1850, 1950, and 2015.
Phersu Atlas was created because we wanted a way to explore world history that felt continuous, precise and alive. Historical maps were either static, fragmented or limited to narrow periods. We needed a single environment where time, space and data could finally work together. Most tools in this field stop at broad outlines. They show borders, but not how they change day by day. They show polities, but not the cities, rulers, wars, genealogies and demographic trends that define them. They show coastlines, but not how they shift across centuries. They show datasets, but not the connections between them. Phersu Atlas aims to rebuild this entire experience from the ground up.
This release brings together years of work. The atlas is fully unified: global and regional views merge into one continuous map. Every element is interlinked (states, cities, rulers, battles, dynasties, timelines, statistics). The internal search engine lets you move across thousands of pages instantly. The dataset includes tens of thousands of cities, millions of demographic and territorial statistics, and detailed information on area, population and political transitions. Territorial changes are tracked day by day, across every region of the world, including coastline variations. Each change is documented and linked to at least one scientific source. Infoboxes are richer and more connected. Genealogies and ruler lists are deeper. Timelines are smoother. Everything is designed to make exploration intuitive, fast and meaningful.
This is not a final version. We are already working on new ideas that push the atlas further: expanded event coverage, deeper genealogical structures, more refined statistics, new visual layers, and additional ways to navigate long-term historical change. Some of these projects are ambitious, and we believe they will interest anyone who enjoys exploring history through maps and data. If you try Phersu Atlas, we would be glad to hear your thoughts. Your feedback helps us shape the next steps of the project.
