Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm a student. I build apps at night under a one person company called Peekr. Four so far: a party game, an offline grammar checker, a local first bookkeeping AI, and a thing that roasts your GitHub profile.
The problem was small and genuinely annoying. Four products meant four sets of social accounts and four bios to keep in sync, and every time I renamed or redeployed something, a link somewhere went stale. Linktree fixes that, but it puts my whole catalogue on someone else's domain, under their branding, with the useful parts behind a subscription I did not want to pay for as a student.
So I wrote the page myself. One HTML file, 335 lines including the CSS and the JavaScript, about 10 KB. No framework, no build step, no dependencies. It sits on a free subdomain of a domain I already owned, so it costs me nothing to run.
It reads the visitor's browser language and switches between French and English on its own, because I ship in both. The choice is remembered, and there is a manual toggle for when the guess is wrong.
Two things I did not see coming. The first was DNS: my domain is registered at Namecheap but the nameservers point to Cloudflare, so every record I added at Namecheap was silently ignored, and once I found the right place the certificate still refused to issue until I turned Cloudflare's orange proxy cloud off. The second was that opening the source meant pulling my name, my three email addresses and my LinkedIn out of the HTML and into a git-ignored config file. That refactor is what turned it from my page into a template anyone can use.
It's MIT licensed. Clone it, put your own links in config.js, point it at your domain, done.
