Peck

AI review drafts for GitHub PRs

Peck is a native macOS menu bar app for GitHub pull requests. It helps you understand PRs faster by explaining code changes in plain language, drafting review comments, and recommending whether a PR looks ready to approve, needs comments, or should request changes. Peck also keeps your own PR status visible, so you can quickly see approvals, checks, conflicts, and pending reviews without constantly jumping back into GitHub.

Top comment

Hey Product Hunt, I built Peck because reviewing PRs often starts with a slow first step: understanding what the PR actually changes. Before leaving a useful review, I usually need to open the diff, scan files, understand the intent, check for risky changes, and then decide whether to approve, comment, or request changes. Peck is my attempt to make that flow faster. It lives in the macOS menu bar and connects to GitHub. It shows the PRs that need your review, explains diffs in plain language, drafts review comments, and helps you track approvals, checks, conflicts, and pending reviewers without keeping GitHub open all day. The goal is not to auto-review code blindly. Peck gives you a faster starting point, then keeps the final decision in your hands. I’d love feedback from people who review PRs often: - Is the plain-language PR explanation useful? - Are the review drafts too detailed, too shallow, or about right? - What PR status info would you want in a menu bar app? - What would make this fit better into your GitHub workflow? Thanks for checking it out.

Who hunted Peck?

Peck was hunted by 정수현. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
