Top comment

Hi everyone, makers of PDFTasker here. This started because we kept seeing people drop contracts, ID scans, tax forms into whatever PDF site came up first on Google. Sites that POST your file to some server the second you drop it in. The annoying part is that none of that needs a server. Merging, splitting, signing, compressing a PDF can all run in the browser now, WebAssembly handles it. So we just built it that way. All 16 tools, nothing uploaded, the file stays on your machine. And you can check that yourself instead of trusting us. Open DevTools, Network tab, use any tool. No upload request shows up because there's nothing on our end to upload to. If you want the actual technical breakdown (WebAssembly, Web Workers, and where browser-only stuff falls apart), it's here: https://pdftasker.app/en-US/blog... Couple of honest things while we're at it. No signup or accounts, we don't collect emails. The tools have no third-party trackers on them. The blog runs ads because hosting isn't free, but the tools themselves are clean. And it's not magic, big files lean on IndexedDB and can get slow, and we're still adding languages. Would really like to hear where it breaks for you. Especially the weird files. Thanks for taking a look.
