In traditional software, we solved this visibility problem with the SBOM (Software Bill of Materials).
To bring that same security rigor to the AI space, our team is open-sourcing the PBOM (Prompt Bill of Materials) Spec.
It is a standardized, machine-readable manifest (JSON/YAML) that tracks the complete genealogy of your AI prompts—so you always have a verifiable source of truth for what is running in production. At Eqo, we are building a governance and verification layer for autonomous agentic code workflows, and open-sourcing this standard is step one.
