PayDance
Watch your earnings grow with every second you work
PayDance is a lightweight dashboard that shows how much you’ve earned today, updating in real time as you work. Set your salary and schedule, choose monthly, daily, or hourly pay, and account for lunch breaks, custom workdays, and overnight shifts. Use the full dashboard or a tiny always-on-top window for quick glances. It’s open source and bilingual, with a portable Windows app and a mobile-friendly web version. No account, no ads, no telemetry — your data stays on your device.
The idea came from a simple mismatch: salary shows up once a month, but the time and effort behind it happen every day. I wanted to make that value visible without building another time tracker, attendance system, or productivity scoreboard.
PayDance shows a live “earned today” amount based on your salary and actual working hours. 💸 It supports monthly, daily, and hourly pay, lunch breaks, custom workdays, and overnight shifts. The main dashboard shows your progress and time remaining, while Mini Mode keeps only the live amount in a quiet corner of your desktop.
I intentionally kept it local-first: no account, no cloud sync, no telemetry, and no salary data upload. 🔒
I’d love to hear whether the live earnings view feels motivating, useful, or distracting. Thanks for checking it out! ✨

Who hunted PayDance?
PayDance was hunted by Bao Boer. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
