The background and Premise - I am a PM with over 15yr professional experience. User empathy is core of what I do everyday, across marketing and product functions that I have worked in.
The moment - I was building a complex prototype for something at work. I know significance of proper prompts vs statements. But then, it was too much typing. Copy pasting prompts would mean compromise on context in original AI where I am working, as well as wasted credits. I am also acutely aware of how my cross functional stakeholders from finance, HR, marketing, admin, legal etc feel intimidated and threatened by this whole AI thing. The terms like "prompt engineering" aint helping their case as well.
The Decision - After much iterations I decided to make a web browser extension that sits inside AI application and converts rough thoughts into surgical prompts, just by pressing //
