Top comment
I’m a combat medic in the military, and during training I realized the problem was not that my classmates and I didn’t understand the material. The real problem was that NREMT-style questions often felt like word soup. By the time you reached the actual question, you had already lost track of the symptoms, scene details, and other clues needed to make the right assessment. That experience inspired me to build Pathologix.io; an interactive training platform that helps EMT students learn how to quickly identify the important clues hidden inside complex patient scenarios, connect them to likely conditions, and choose the appropriate next step. It also includes an interactive EMT simulator where users can practice assessing patients and choosing the correct next steps in realistic scenarios. Instead of relying only on memorization and traditional multiple-choice questions, Pathologix focuses on pattern recognition and decision-making. The goal is to help students think more like providers, not just better test-takers. I’m still actively improving the platform and would genuinely appreciate feedback from EMT students, instructors, nurses, and anyone familiar with emergency medicine. What works? What feels confusing? What would make it more useful during training? Thanks for checking it out.
