Like a lot of side projects, this one started from personal frustration. I needed a password generator and kept bouncing between tools that were either buried in ads, looked like they hadn't been updated since 2015, or didn't let me customize the character set the way I actually wanted. So I built the tool I wished existed.
Some things I paid attention to while building it:
1. Privacy by design — everything runs client-side using the Web Crypto API. Your passwords are generated in your browser and never touch a server.
2. History, done right — a lightweight history panel so you can grab a recently generated password without starting over.
3. Actually responsive — tested and refined across mobile, tablet, and desktop, not just "it technically works on small screens."
Simple as the idea sounds, I rebuilt the layout more times than I'd like to admit — getting that balance between minimal and functional took longer than the actual password-generation logic did.
