PartyDub started as a game night problem: we wanted to redub a scene
together and every option either shipped its own fixed clips or made one
person do all the work.
So this runs on whatever clip you already have. Everyone in the room dubs
it at the same time, blind — you don't hear anyone else's take until the
reveal — and then you watch them back and vote.
What's in it:
• Automatic line detection. Drop a clip in and the AI finds the dialogue
worth dubbing and lifts the voices off the backing track, so the music
survives. You can also mark lines by hand.
• A real editor. Timeline, drag, split, undo, all against the waveform.
• Dub Pack import and export. Drop in a .zip or point at the folder your
packs already live in and the lines load with their timings. Export
back out for Choicer Voicer or Voxalike.
• A public library. Play scenes other people have published, or publish
your own.
• Twitch chat voting. If you stream, chat votes alongside the room on a
capped share — five viewers and five thousand carry the same weight
together — with a delay setting so chat reacts to a dub it has seen.
• Friends join by link. No install, no account, works in the browser.
On privacy: your video never leaves your device. It goes peer-to-peer to
the other players. The only thing my server ever sees is a low-quality
mono audio track, held in memory for one request to find the dialogue,
never written to disk.
