Parithmetic

A daily numbers puzzle, scored like golf

A free daily numbers game inspired by Countdown: combine six tiles to hit a target. Every move costs a stroke, and par is proven minimal by a solver. Dead ends bounce but still cost you. No ads, no accounts. New puzzle at midnight

Top comment

Hi everyone! I built Parithmetic because I loved the Countdown numbers round but wanted something I could play daily without a clock. The twist is golf scoring: a solver proves the minimum number of moves (par), and every submit costs a stroke, including moves that turn out to be dead ends. So there's no safe brute-forcing; you have to think before you commit. Difficulty ramps through the week, from a gentle Monday to a genuinely brutal Sunday. I'm still tuning that curve, so if you play, I'd love to hear whether your day felt too easy or too hard. All feedback welcome!

Who hunted Parithmetic?

Parithmetic was hunted by Frederik T. Stevens. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
