Pantheon Wars
Card battler with 250 gods from ten real mythologies
Gods, heroes and monsters from every mythology clash on one battlefield. Build a deck from ten pantheons, climb the ranks and fight the Pantheon War.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm Maurício, a solo developer in Portugal. Pantheon started as a fantasy novel I wrote — The Man Who Sold the World — and turned into the card game I'd been describing to myself while writing it.
The idea: a strategy card battler drawn from ten real mythologies. Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Japanese, Celtic, Hindu, Aztec, Abrahamic, Buddhist, and the Orixás of the Afro-Brazilian diaspora, a pantheon I'd never seen in a game. Each has its own art direction and its own way of winning.
How it plays: six turns, three locations. Both players commit cards face-down and reveal at the same time; you take two of the three and you win. Two minutes to learn, considerably longer to stop thinking about.
There's also a story mode, with seventeen illustrated chapters from the novel, narrated by a Duke of Hell with a very long memory for debts.
You can play it right now in your browser, no install or signup: https://thepantheonwar.com
