Hey Y'all! My name is John, I'm one of the Co-founders of Pangea.app, and I'm really excited to share what we've been building! We hope Pangea will resonate with people who have tried using traditional freelance platforms in the past but experienced the misalignments in incentives and want a better alternative. The large mark-ups on all paid invoices, the limitations in converting to full-time teammates, and the general sketchiness on both sides of these marketplaces are things we want to address at Pangea. By charging companies an annual membership to join the network instead of commission fees and off-boarding fees, we can promote better platform dynamics for both talent and companies. As a startup, we've experienced the benefits of working with talent on a contract-to-hire basis. It's a great way to learn if the working relationship is a good fit for both sides.
