Panescope
Test web design on every device at once, in Chrome
Panescope opens any page on phones, tablets and laptops side by side, inside Chrome. Scroll, click or type in one screen and the others follow. Then inspect, audit accessibility and Web Vitals, run 42 debug tools and turn the screens into launch images. Take screenshot high quality
Hi Product Hunt!
While building web interfaces, we constantly need to see our pages on many devices. Plenty of tools already do that, but we needed more.
We needed sharp screenshots. Most capture extensions grab what's on your monitor at its own pixel ratio, so the images come out soft. Others break the layout: some resize the window to fit the whole page, which shifts breakpoints and stretches 100vh sections; others redraw the page from its HTML, which drops iframes, videos and images from other domains. Then checking accessibility and performance meant installing yet more tools, and the desktop apps that bundle all of this live outside the browser we actually work in.
So we put everything a web designer or developer needs into one Chrome extension:
Real screens side by side at each device's exact CSS size and pixel ratio, with scroll, clicks, hover and typing in sync
Screenshots of the visible area or the whole page, up to 16x, taken from Chrome's own rendering: the page is repainted at high resolution while its layout stays exactly as on the device, iframes and videos included
Inspect one element across every screen, WCAG 2.2 audits and Core Web Vitals per screen, and 42 visual debug tools
Photo Studio for launch images and videos, plus visual diff, client reports and ready-to-file bug reports
We built Panescope for our own daily work, and now we'd love to see it in yours. Open the page you're working on right now and tell us what it gets right, and what it still gets wrong. We'll be here all day reading every comment.
