PaletteSnap
Browse, like & publish color palettes - no sign-up
PaletteSnap is a free, open-source color palette tool. Browse, search, and like palettes with zero accounts - likes are tied to your device, not an email. Anyone can create and publish a palette instantly, visible to every visitor. No sign-up, ever.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built PaletteSnap because every palette tool I liked made me sign up before I could do anything - save a favorite, publish my own, anything.
So this one has no accounts at all. Browse, like, and publish palettes instantly. Likes are tied to an anonymous ID stored in your browser, not an email - no personal data, just enough to remember your collection is yours.
A few things about it:
- Search and filter by color or tag
- Click any palette to see hex/RGB codes and export as SVG, PNG, or JPEG
- Anyone can publish a palette - no approval queue, it's live instantly
- Fully responsive, works on mobile
- 100% open source
Built with React, TypeScript, Zustand, and Supabase (Postgres + RLS, no backend server of my own).
Would love feedback - especially on anything that feels rough or missing. And if you've got thoughts on how to keep an anonymous, no-login app spam-free without adding friction, I'm genuinely curious how others have handled that.
