Painters of War
The competitive platform for painted minis
The competitive arena where miniature painters get seen. Upload your best-painted minis, enter head-to-head battles, and climb the ranks.
Hey Product Hunt — I’m Ric, creator of Painters of War.
I built this for miniature painters because the current social platforms don't help creative work to get seen fairly.
Miniature painting is obsessive, technical, personal, and incredibly visual. But most painters are stuck posting into feeds where visibility depends more on timing, follower count, and algorithmic luck than the quality of the work itself.
Painters of War turns painted minis into a competitive showcase. Painters can upload their work, build a Vanguard (lineup), enter head-to-head battles, vote on other minis, climb leaderboards, and get discovered through the community.
Right now, the main modes are:
⚔️ Arena — head-to-head miniature painting battles
🏛️ Showcase — direct scoring for individual minis
⚡ Blitz — fast voting where winning minis build streaks
🏆 Leaderboards — rankings shaped by the community
The goal is not to replace Instagram. The goal is to create a place where miniature painters can be seen, compared, celebrated, and pushed forward by the community itself.
I’d love feedback on three things:
Does the core loop make sense quickly?
Does the competitive angle feel exciting or intimidating?
What would make you trust the scoring/ranking system more?
Thanks for checking it out. This has been one of the most intense things I’ve ever built, and I’m excited to hear what you think.
