It works out how many fit in a master carton, how those cartons stack on a pallet, and whether a person can actually lift the result - checking every sane carton size and layer pattern instead of guessing. Hey, maker here. I do packaging and logistics work on the side, and I kept redoing the same carton/pallet math in a spreadsheet - how many units fit in a box, how the boxes stack, whether the pallet ends up too heavy to move by hand. It's fiddly enough that I'd second-guess myself, especially with weight limits and handling rules in the mix. So I built the thing that actually checks every reasonable carton size and stacking pattern instead of me eyeballing one. It scores each option on density, stability and how heavy the boxes end up, and shows the trade-offs side by side instead of just handing you one "best" answer. It runs on a Raspberry Pi at home, so it's genuinely a side project - free to try (2 calculations, then a quick message to me if you want more), works in Italian and English, and the packing logic is checked against brute-force search on close to a thousand test cases so I'm not just shipping vibes. Happy to answer anything about how the algorithm works, and feature requests are welcome - I use this myself for real packaging work, so it'll keep evolving.
