Water reminder apps are easy to ignore: a notification is gone with one swipe. A mother standing on your screen with a glass of water is not. So Paani Peelo puts one there.
How it works:
• Every hour (or however often you choose), Amma walks onto your screen holding a steel tumbler.
• Say "Yes, I drank" and she showers you with blessings.
• Say "Not now" and she sulks off, then comes back 10 minutes later, a little less polite. By the third visit she might ask whether she should call your father.
• Reach your daily goal and there's confetti.
Not your mother? Pick Appa, Dadi, your wife or husband, or your little ones, each with their own voice, and change their skin tone, hair and clothes to look like your family. They speak English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
