I built Outlay because I kept abandoning every expense tracker I tried — not because they weren't capable, but because manually logging every receipt got tedious within a week.
The idea was simple: what if the app just read the receipt for you? So I built OCR scanning into the core flow — you snap a photo, and it fills in the merchant, amount, and date automatically. No typing, no friction.
From there it grew into full budgeting (by category, monthly), spending reports, and secure sync so your data follows you across devices.
Built with Flutter, backed by Supabase for auth and sync.
