OurNextCity
Two private quizzes, one ranked list of cities to move to
Each partner answers the same 12 questions privately, so neither anchors the other. We merge both, rank 915 cities, show where you disagree, and check residency from your passports and budget. Top 3 free with no account. Couple Pass: €29 or $29, paid once.
Hi Product Hunt. My wife and I have been living in Dubai for a few years now, and the constant question since then has been "where do we go next?". Every option has its set of compromises: air quality, safety, taxes, weather, quality of public services, geography. My wife wants to be within a reasonable flight from her mom and in a safe environment, while I value quality of life and cost of living first. I built OurNextCity to help couples like us find their happy medium.
OurNextCity is for couples deciding where to move abroad. Each of you answers the same 12 questions on your own device, plus your passport, and whoever starts also picks a household budget band. It takes about four minutes. Neither of you sees the other's answers until both are done, so the result reflects what you each want instead of whoever spoke first.
Then it merges both sets of answers and ranks 915 cities. For every city you get a match score for the two of you, and a separate page shows where your answers diverged, sorted by how far apart you are and how much you care. It also checks residency against both passports and your budget, and moves cities where a long-stay visa looks hard to a separate "not realistic" list.
The data is public and listed on the About page: Open-Meteo for climate, GeoNames for city size, World Bank indicators where we lack a country's figures, and indexes such as the EF English Proficiency Index and the Ookla Speedtest Global Index. Cities with thin data are marked "Limited data".
Your top 3 is free with no account. The Couple Pass is a one-time 29 euros in Europe or 29 dollars elsewhere, and covers both partners. For launch week, anyone arriving from Product Hunt gets it for 20 instead of 29 until 21 October, applied automatically at checkout.
A full example result is at ournextcity.com/sample if you want to look before answering. I'd like to hear where the ranking feels wrong for a city you know.

Who hunted OurNextCity?
OurNextCity was hunted by Loan Laux. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
