Osler
Explain symptoms, detect red flags, understand next steps
Osler is an AI health reasoning assistant that helps users understand symptoms, identify red flags, and know when to seek medical care. Instead of jumping to a diagnosis, Osler explains uncertainty, asks follow-up questions, and uses safety gates to escalate risky symptom patterns. It is designed for health education and triage awareness, not as a replacement for doctors.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I’m building Osler, an AI health reasoning assistant designed to help people understand symptoms, identify red flags, and know when to seek medical care.
The main idea behind Osler is that medical AI should not just answer quickly — it should also know when not to answer too confidently.
Osler is designed to:
- explain symptoms in simple language
- ask follow-up questions when information is missing
- detect high-risk symptom patterns
- recommend urgent evaluation when red flags appear
- explain uncertainty instead of jumping to a diagnosis
For example, if someone enters “chest pain + shortness of breath,” Osler does not casually give medication suggestions or guess a diagnosis. It triggers a safety gate and recommends urgent medical evaluation.
Osler is not a replacement for doctors and is not meant for emergencies. I’m launching it here to get feedback on the reasoning flow, safety wording, and product direction.
I’d really appreciate your thoughts:
1. Is the safety wording clear enough?
2. Is the reasoning summary useful?
3. What symptom scenarios should I test next?
Thank you for checking it out
