Top comment

Orgonaut started from a very practical problem. Over the years we found ourselves repeatedly going through organisational restructuring exercises — changing teams, shifting reporting lines, balancing budgets, reallocating people, modelling delivery impact, and trying to understand the downstream effects of those decisions. The hard part wasn’t usually deciding that change was needed. It was actually modelling the change safely and coherently. The information lived everywhere: * org charts * spreadsheets * HR systems * planning decks * Jira * finance sheets * tribal knowledge And once AI started becoming part of the workflow, another problem appeared: there was no structured, governed system that AI could safely interact with to understand and help operate an organisation. So we built Orgonaut. It started as a system of record for organisational structures, teams, costs, allocations, and capacity planning. Over time it evolved into something closer to a system of action. Today Orgonaut can be used through MCP, API, CLI, Astro (the built-in AI assistant), or the UI itself. The core idea is that AI should be able to explore and propose organisational change safely inside scenarios and sandboxes without directly mutating the live organisation. Humans stay in control, but AI gets a structured operational model it can actually reason about and work with. Still very early, but excited to finally share it.

Who hunted Orgonaut?

Orgonaut was hunted by Orgonaut. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
