OpticParse & PhishVision
Vision AI Scraping API & Zero-False-Positive Phishing Check
Web scraping breaks when DOMs change. Phishing detectors fail on modern fakes. We fixed both by building an API that looks at websites exactly like humans do—using Vision AI. Extract structured JSON or detect phishing in 0.3 seconds without maintaining a single CSS selector.
Hi ProductHunt! 👋 I'm Paras, the solo developer behind OpticParse and PhishVision.
I built this out of pure frustration. I was so tired of spending hours fixing broken CSS selectors and XPaths every time a target website updated its UI. I realized that if a human can read a webpage, an AI looking at a screenshot can too.
So, I built OpticParse: A DOM-agnostic web scraping API. You give it a URL and a JSON schema, it takes a screenshot, runs Vision AI, and returns perfect data. It is completely immune to HTML/DOM changes and bypasses all modern anti-bot protections.
While building it, I realized the same tech applies to cybersecurity. PhishVision is the second API—it detects phishing visually. Traditional scanners rely on URL blacklists and get tricked by zero-day domains. PhishVision looks at the site's logo, layout, and intent to spot impersonations, boasting a 0% false positive rate on login pages.
⚡ Why it’s different:
- Speed: Dual-layer caching returns data in 0.3s (26x faster than traditional scraping APIs).
- Maintenance: Zero. No selectors to break.
- Privacy: We are the only scraping API to offer a local WebLLM mode that runs AI inference entirely on your own GPU/browser.
I’d love for you to try out the free tier. Drop any URL in our interactive dashboard and let me know what you think! Happy to answer any questions about the architecture.
