Openstage

Your GitHub commits become a public proof-of-work page

Openstage builds a public page from your GitHub commits. Public repos sync every 2 hours, so the page stays current without you. A chart shows your week, month or year by project, beside a numbered list of what you shipped and published. "Make a card" turns that period into a PNG and a post made of your own entries, which you edit and post yourself. Private repos connect read-only through a GitHub App, only the repos you pick, with no links to the code. The page is free.

Hi Product Hunt. I started Openstage in March: a page that fills itself from your GitHub commits, so building in public isn't a second job. Then I stopped working on it, and its own timeline showed it. My last commit was on June 20, and the next came 82 days later. In September I rebuilt it, with my own page as the test. The first version wrote your weekly post for you. On three real accounts it picked the wrong commits, so now it lists them and you pick. Private repos used to need GitHub's repo permission, which also allows writes. They now connect read-only through a GitHub App, only the repos you choose. On October 16 the page got a chart of your week, month or year by project, with what you shipped and published beside it, and a card you can post. You can see mine without signing in: https://openstage.dev/tuxnotfoun... Openstage calls no AI model. The post draft is built from your own entries. A question for anyone who builds in public: where would you link a page like this, if anywhere?

Who hunted Openstage?

Openstage was hunted by tuxnotfound. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
