Openroster

Which "Open" companies are actually open source

A directory of every company with "Open" in its name, plus companies that build in the open. Each page answers "Is it open source?" from the license and repo, with GitHub, OpenSSF and package stats. Open projects can launch weekly, ranked by stars gained.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I kept assuming anything called "Open-something" was open source. Most aren't. So I built Openroster: an index of every company with "Open" in its name, plus companies that build in the open, and each page says which is which, from the license and the repo, not the name.

Company pages also pull GitHub activity, OpenSSF Scorecard, package downloads and Hacker News threads. And if you're building something open, you can book a weekly Launch, ranked by GitHub stars gained that week.

I'd love feedback: which "Open" company surprised you?
