Onsight
On-demand local photo missions, starting in San Francisco
Onsight is on-demand local photography, starting in San Francisco. Need a photo of a specific place you can't get to - a storefront, a rental or STR listing, a product on a shelf, an event? Post a "mission" with the spot and the shot you need, and a vetted local photographer near that pin shoots it fresh and geotagged. Two sides: post missions and get photos, or apply to nearby missions and shoot. SF first, more cities coming - get in early.
Hey PH, Tamas here, solo maker. Onsight came from a simple problem: sometimes you need a photo of a specific place you can't get to - a rental listing across town, a storefront, a product on a shelf, an event - and hiring a photographer for a one-off is a hassle. So Onsight is on-demand local photography by 'mission': you drop a pin and describe the shot, and a vetted local photographer near that spot shoots it fresh and geotagged. It works both ways - post missions to get photos, or apply to nearby missions and shoot. I'm starting in San Francisco and opening it up early, city by city. Two things I'd love feedback on: (1) what would you actually use an on-demand local photo mission for? (2) if you're a photographer, would picking up nearby missions be worth it? Thanks for looking - SF folks especially, I'd love you in early.
