Onai
AI nutrition tracking shaped around your day
Onai is an iOS and Android app that turns food photos into calories, macros, recipes and a diary built around your goals, activity, preferences and eating habits.
Hey Product Hunt,
I built Onai because nutrition tracking should feel personal, not like filling out a spreadsheet.
Most apps still make you search databases, scan barcodes, weigh ingredients, or choose from long generic lists, which can become tedious and unmotivating. So I started wondering: what if AI could make nutrition tracking lighter and more personal?
Onai starts with a photo: scan a dish, get an AI estimate, adjust it if needed, then log it.
This launch is about making the experience feel tailored to you. Onai uses your goals, preferences, meal timing, logged meals and optional cycle phase for women to suggest food ideas that fit your actual day. With Health Connect and Apple Health integration, it can also use activity context to keep daily targets more relevant.
I also wanted Onai to feel grounded. Nutrition targets and feedback are guided by published research and dietary reference values, while AI handles the messy real-world part: recognizing food, estimating portions, and turning your patterns into practical suggestions.
Would love feedback on the app, onboarding, and whether the “shaped around your day” idea comes through clearly.
