I built olud.ai because choosing an AI tool meant opening fifteen tabs. It tracks 10,296 open-source AI projects and 350+ models in one place: daily health scores, star velocity, live API prices, licences, and which open-source project can replace a paid product. Plus 4,800 head-to-head model comparisons. Everything is measured, not curated. Free, no account, no ads, no tracking — I count pages, not people. Maintainers can claim their page and see its audience.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
It started with a small frustration: every time I wanted to pick an AI tool, I ended up with fifteen tabs open — GitHub for the stars, a blog post from last year for the comparison, three pricing pages, and no idea whether the project was still alive.
So I built the thing I wanted. olud.ai measures the AI ecosystem every morning and puts it on one page.
What that means concretely, today:
10,296 open-source AI projects, each with its own page — 5,273 of them scored for health (is this still maintained?)
350+ models with live API pricing, open-weight and commercial side by side — 518 price changes recorded so far
4,829 head-to-head model comparisons
62,787 GitHub stars gained across the ecosystem today, 2,497 new projects this week
Nothing here is hand-picked. No editorial top 10, no sponsored placement. Every number comes from our own daily measurements, and the method is published on the site. When we can't measure something, we leave it blank instead of guessing.
No account, no ads, no tracking. I count pages, not people — literally: no cookies, no fingerprinting, a date and a path in a database. That also means I can't tell you who you are, and I like it that way.
If you maintain an open-source AI project, your page is probably already there. You can claim it in one click with GitHub (no commit, no token), rewrite the description in your own words, and see how many people actually visit it.
Two honest caveats: olud.ai itself isn't open source — the data it publishes is free to use, but the site isn't a repo you can fork. And the historical charts are still thin: I only started archiving daily a few weeks ago, and an archive can't be backfilled.
