Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Abid, and I built OG Scope after one too many "why does my link look like that?" moments. You ship a page, paste it into Slack or LinkedIn, and get a blank box, the wrong title, or an image cropped in half. Then you jump between the Facebook debugger, LinkedIn Post Inspector and a few other tools just to see what's going on.
So I made one free Open Graph checker that does it all in one place. Paste any public URL and OG Scope fetches the page server-side and reads the Open Graph tags, Twitter card tags, title, meta description, canonical URL and favicon. You get:
- Estimated link preview cards for Facebook, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord and Telegram
- A metadata table with every value it found
- An OG image checker: published vs. resolved URL, whether the file loads, and pixel size when it can be read
- A Twitter card checker note on layout and Open Graph fallbacks
- A short checklist of what's missing
No account and no saved search history. Just paste a link and check it.
One caveat: the cards are estimates, not official platform renders, and tags injected only by JavaScript won't show up (most social crawlers don't see them either).
