Break reminders you'll still notice in week three
A tiny free app for Mac and Windows that nudges you to rest your eyes, drink water and move. It counts the time you're actually at the machine, not the clock, and every nudge is a different hand-drawn character. No account, no tracking.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Richa. Every break reminder I've installed had the same life. Week one, I stood up. Week two, I clicked it away without reading. Week three, I muted it. The reminder wasn't wrong. I'd just stopped seeing it. Two things cause that. Most reminders run on a clock, so they nag five minutes after you sit down, or while you're at lunch. And they look the same every time, so your eye learns to skip them. Offscreen tries to fix both: • Each reminder counts the time that matters to it. Eye breaks count screen time; water counts real time, because meetings dehydrate you too. Nothing fires while you're away. • Every nudge is a different hand-drawn character, shuffled so it never repeats back to back. Add up to five of your own, at a time, on chosen days, or once on a date. • It's polite: a small card in the corner that leaves after 25 seconds if you ignore it. It's free, needs no account, and makes no network calls. The only thing it asks your computer is how many seconds since you last touched the keyboard or mouse. It isn't paid for with Apple or Microsoft, so your computer asks you to confirm once; the site shows the two clicks. What I'd love to know: which default feels wrong for your day, and is there a nudge you'd actually want that isn't here?
