I build and maintain Odoo deployments, and the same thing happens on every single one: the company buys the ERP, the desk-bound half of the team learns it, and everyone else quietly avoids it. Field sales reps, warehouse staff, anyone who only needs Odoo twice a month to book leave or log an expense. They have a login. They just never use it. So the pipeline goes stale, approvals sit for a week, and the ERP under-delivers for reasons that have nothing to do with the ERP.
OdooPilot is my attempt to fix the adoption gap instead of the software. Every employee gets an AI assistant in a place they already have open: Telegram, WhatsApp, or a chat panel inside Odoo itself.

Three things I cared about more than the demo:
1. It writes to real records. 19 ORM-backed tools across Project, Sales, CRM, Invoicing, Inventory, Purchase, HR and Leaves. Not a search wrapper with a chat skin on top.
2. It respects permissions. Each linked chat user is an Odoo user. Record rules and access rights apply exactly as they do in the web UI, so nobody sees anything through the bot that they could not already see.
3. It does not YOLO your database. Reads run immediately, writes stage and ask. The confirmation names the resolved record, not the model's argument string, and the Yes button carries a per-write nonce, so a prompt injection cannot swap the record between the question and your tap. Every call, read or write, lands in an immutable audit log.
It is a plain Odoo addon. No sidecar service, no Docker container, no account with me in the middle. You pick the model: Claude, GPT-4o, Groq's free tier, or Ollama if you want zero third-party calls at all. Free and open source under LGPL-3, Odoo 17 and 18 Community.
It is at Beta maturity and I am the sole maintainer, so I would genuinely like to hear where it breaks. If you run Odoo, I want to know which module you would want covered next, and if you decided against a chat interface for your ERP, I especially want to know what stopped you.
