Octopus is secure document sharing built for people who need more than a “sent” notification. Share confidential documents, control exactly who can access them, and see what happens after they’re opened down to the page. Use it for deals, fundraising, sales, and other high-stakes workflows. Plus data rooms, access controls, watermarking, NDAs, and detailed engagement analytics.
We built Octopus because we thought the way confidential documents are shared today was strangely backwards.
You send someone a financial model, pitch deck, proposal, or deal document and usually get one piece of information back:
Sent.
But what happened after that?
Did they open it? Which pages did they spend time on? What did they skip? Did they come back later? Did they share it with someone else?
That information exists, but most document-sharing tools don't make much of it.
So we started with a very simple idea:
Upload a document → share it securely → see what happens.
That became Octopus.
Today, Octopus combines secure document sharing, granular access controls, page-level engagement analytics, and data rooms in one place.
We're launching on Product Hunt to get Octopus in front of more people who work with important documents every day and learn where we should take it next.
