O.R.C. Terminal
The terminal built specifically for AI Agents
Windows-first desktop execution firewall for AI agents with supervised terminal access, brokered runs, approvals, and local policy controls. - ahastings81/O.R.C.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built O.R.C. (Open Runtime Control) because I didn’t trust what was happening behind the terminal anymore.
As AI agents get more powerful, they’re also getting more access—running commands, touching files, making decisions… often with very little visibility or control.
That didn’t sit right with me.
So instead of giving AI more freedom, I built a way to put it behind a gate.
O.R.C. is a proxy terminal that sits between you and AI agents:
Intercepts and monitors commands
Adds control, visibility, and guardrails
Keeps a human in the loop
Prevents “runaway terminal moments” before they happen
It’s designed for people like me—builders who want to use AI locally, but don’t want to blindly trust it with their system.
This is just the beginning.
Multi-agent orchestration, deeper controls, and Elli integration are already in progress.
Would love your feedback, ideas, and thoughts 🙌
