story-reply funnels, and follow-up sequences.
Backstory: I was using ManyChat to run Instagram marketing for a B2C app I was
building. As I scaled across multiple accounts the bill kept climbing — and I
realized I was mostly paying for a handful of automations that are, under the
hood, just the Meta Graph API plus some webhooks. So I tried building my own.
The core that I (and most creators) actually pay ManyChat for took about a week.
I cleaned it up and open-sourced it under MIT. There are two builds of the same
product:
- nudgra-oss (this link): fully self-hostable on your own VPS — TanStack Start,
Hono, Postgres, Drizzle, pg-boss. You own the data, infra, and tokens.
- nudgra-cloud: the original build (Next.js + Convex) if you'd rather deploy to

It uses the official Instagram Business Login + Meta webhooks (no scraping),
encrypts stored tokens, and auto-pauses automations when something looks off, to
stay within Meta's rules. One honest limitation: no welcome-DM-on-new-follow,
because Instagram exposes no new-follower webhook.
Setup is ~15 min if you already have a VPS and domain.
