Nudge Chess
Nudge an AI chess match to victory with just a few moves
Two chess engines battle at lightning speed. At the critical moment the board is yours — one nudge to change everything.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Gary, maker of NudgeChess.
The idea came from a simple observation: chess is one of the most beautiful games ever made, but actually playing a full match is hard work — and most of us blunder our way through the middlegame anyway. Meanwhile, watching two engines play each other is fascinating but passive.
NudgeChess sits in between. Two AIs play each other, and you step in for just a handful of moves — the ones that matter. Spot a tactic the engine is about to miss, nudge your side, then watch the consequences ripple through the whole match. It's chess distilled down to its best moments: the "aha" without the grind.
It's designed for casual play — you can finish a match in a few minutes, and you immediately see whether your intervention turned the game. The early levels are free, with expansion packs to unlock if you get hooked.
I built this solo (design, code, the lot), so I'd genuinely love your feedback:
🔹 Does the "nudge" concept click for you straight away, or did it take a game to get it?
🔹 What would make you come back daily — puzzles, tougher AI, tournaments?
Try a match at nudgechess.com and tell me how your nudge went. I'll be here all day answering questions!
