NSFW Sherlock
Self-hosted image moderation API in Go
An open-source image moderation service with HTTP and gRPC APIs. Uses ONNX Runtime to classify photos and anime, detect explicit regions, and optionally check text with OCR. Start with the CPU Docker image. Code: AGPL-3.0; model licenses are separate.
I maintain NSFW Sherlock to make image moderation available through a service you can run yourself. The HTTP API gives you simple flags, probabilities, or a full analysis; gRPC is available too. The README includes a Docker quick start and exact model profiles. Feedback on integration and response formats is welcome. GPU configuration is documented, but physical NVIDIA/AMD inference verification is still pending.

Who hunted NSFW Sherlock?
NSFW Sherlock was hunted by Michal Žídek. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
