Nous
Your compounded Knowledge base
Local-first note-taking with a self-building knowledge graph, AI chat across your vault, and Google Drive sync. Your notes. Your data. Your device. While AI should surface connections between notes rather than just store them — using contradiction detection and semantic clustering as the primary AI insight layer, not just search.

I built Nous because I had a problem I couldn't solve with any existing tool. I had used Notion, Apple Notes, and random docs. The information was all there — but it was effectively dead. I'd write something important, forget it existed, and rediscover it months later when it was too late to be useful. The real problem isn't capture. It's that our notes don't talk to each other. Nous is my attempt to fix that — using contradiction detection and semantic clustering to surface connections across your notes, not just search within them. The knowledge graph is the core idea: seeing how your thinking is actually structured, not just stored. Honestly, this is early. There's a long road ahead — the AI layer needs to get smarter, the graph needs more depth, and I'm still figuring out what the right experience looks like for different kinds of thinkers. But the core hypothesis feels right: AI should surface what you already know, not just retrieve what you search for. Would genuinely love feedback — especially from people who've tried and abandoned Obsidian, Roam, or Notion for this kind of thinking. What did they get wrong for you?

Who hunted Nous?
Nous was hunted by Tuhin Rawat. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
