Notum - Smart active recall

Master any subject with flashcards and daily streaks.

Hey PH! 👋 I’m a 23 year old CS student who built Notum because I was totally fed up with Quizlet’s lack of LaTeX support. I spent more time hacking together math equations than actually studying. So, I built the tool I needed: a smart flashcard app centered on active recall. Notum features flawless LaTeX support, 4 study modes, and daily streaks to keep you accountable. It completely fixed my exam prep (Data Mining). I’d love for you to try it out and let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for checking out Notum. To add a little more background to the launch: this really just started as a personal project so I could survive my own exams. I rely heavily on active recall, but trying to format complex math and computer science formulas on other platforms was miserable. I focused on getting the core things right first: Native, seamless LaTeX support (no weird formatting hacks needed). Four distinct study modes so you aren't just doing the exact same repetitive flips. A daily streak system because, honestly, I need the gamification to stop myself from procrastinating. Since I built this purely to scratch my own itch, I'd love to hear from other students, self-learners, or anyone who uses flashcards regularly. What features are you currently missing in your study stack? I'll be hanging out here all day! Let me know what you think, what's broken, or what you'd like to see added next.
