I built Notes after losing months of scattered thoughts across 10+ apps. Voice memos in one place, PDFs in another, screenshots everywhere. Sound familiar?
The Problem: Most notes apps are dumping grounds. You capture, but then what? Archiving becomes digital graveyard management. There's no "reflection layer"—no way to resurface and learn from what you've already written.
What Notes Does:
Archive everything on-device (privacy-first, Kotlin/Swift native)
Smart tagging via on-device AI (no cloud creep)
Temporal search ("thoughts from 2 months ago about X")
Reflection prompts that surface old notes at the right moment
Export to Obsidian, Logseq (not lock-in)
Why Now: I've shipped DeDup (100k+ users), spent years thinking about AI on mobile. This is the result—Notes isn't another Notion clone. It's a thinking tool.
