CaptureNote
Turn screenshots into clear, searchable notes
CaptureNote is a complete rebuild of NoteLoom: a new brand, a redesigned iPhone app, and an entirely new Web experience. Upload lecture slides, textbook pages, charts, or diagrams; multimodal AI understands text and visual relationships, then creates a searchable note with a summary, key points, and terms. On iPhone, on-device OCR and local summaries work privately with Shortcuts. Organize notes in folders, edit them, search full text, and export Markdown.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I first launched this project as NoteLoom, an iPhone-only experiment for turning screenshots into study notes. Today it’s becoming CaptureNote—a rebuilt product with a new name, icon, interface, and a full web app.
The problem hasn’t changed: useful information gets buried in screenshots. What changed is how CaptureNote handles it.
On the web, upload a lecture slide, textbook page, chart, or diagram. Multimodal AI reads the text, hierarchy, and visual relationships together, then creates a structured note with a summary, key points, and terms you can search, edit, organize into folders, and export as Markdown.
On iPhone, CaptureNote takes the privacy-first route: on-device OCR and local summaries, no account required, plus Shortcuts actions that can turn a screenshot into a saved note.
This relaunch is a genuine rebuild, not just a rename: the web product is new, the iOS app has been redesigned and rebranded, and the workflow now spans fast cloud understanding on the web and private offline capture on iPhone.
I’d love to hear what kinds of screenshots you save most often—and what usually stops you from finding them again.

Who hunted CaptureNote?
CaptureNote was hunted by Sidi Li. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
