Nosso Imposto
Brazil's public records, finally in the same room
Brazil publishes almost everything: candidates, company partners, contracts, sanctions, budget amendments, official gazettes. It's spread over 20+ government sites in formats nobody reads. Nosso Imposto puts it in one map, one graph and one page per name. Free, no login.
All of this data was already public. The company registry is 5 GB of semicolon CSV in Windows-1252. Candidate records sit in zip files at the electoral court. Contracts are in one portal, sanctions in another, court rulings in a third. Nobody connects them because joining them is miserable.
So I joined them.
Click any of the 5,570 municipalities to see who runs it, which party, the contracts and amendments that went there, and the public works that stalled.
Open a politician to see their career since 2000, votes, declared assets, donors, companies where they appear as a partner, sanctions and improbity convictions.
Type two names. It finds the shortest chain of real records between them: party, company, donation, contract. Up to 9 hops.
A few rules I didn't bend:
- Every inferred link says how it was matched: full CPF, masked CPF, or name only. Homonyms exist, so name-only matches are labeled as such.
- No login, no paywall, no ads.
The site is in Portuguese, but the map and the graph mostly speak for themselves.
Tell me what breaks and which source I'm missing.

Who hunted Nosso Imposto?
Nosso Imposto was hunted by Marcelo Granzotto. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post.
