I’m the solo developer behind NomsAI. I built this because I was genuinely fed up with modern calorie trackers.
Personally, I just wanted to lose a bit of weight, but I didn't want to deal with the massive headache of using mainstream apps. I hated being forced to create an account, and I hated the thought of my personal nutrition data being packaged and sold. On top of that, if you eat something slightly unique, most apps expect you to do the heavy lifting—manually looking up nutritional values just to build their database for them.
I wanted something instant and private, so I built NomsAI to work differently.
There are no accounts, no logins, and no signup loops. You open it and use it. All your data stays right on your device. To make it fast, you just type or speak what you ate in plain English. If a food item isn't in a static database, the AI handles the macro estimation instantly so you don't have to pause your day to calculate nutritional labels.
This is a passion project built to fix a broken, bloated user experience. I'd love for you to give it a spin and let me know what you think of the parsing speed and accuracy.
