I'm Khanh, and I built Noddle Board solo over the past few months.
It started with a frustration: every AI diagram tool I tried gave me either a static image or SVG soup β the moment you want to move one box, you're stuck. And whiteboard tools are great for sketching, but turning a whiteboard photo into a clean diagram is still manual work.
Noddle is open-core: the editor itself is MIT-licensed β self-host it free with your own AI key (draw.noddle.dev, repo linked above). The cloud version adds accounts, teams, sharing, version history and built-in credits, and it's what keeps the project sustainable.
So Noddle's core promise is simple: whatever goes in β a hand-drawn sketch, a photo of a whiteboard, plain text, or Mermaid β what comes out is a real, editable board. Proper shapes, connectors hat reroute when you drag things, containers, the works.
