No ads for Purple
Watch Twitch live streams without ads, in the same quality
Twitch stitches its ads straight into the video stream, so classic ad blockers can't remove them. No ads for Purple works differently: when an ad break starts, it swaps in a clean copy of the same live stream, in the same quality (up to 1080p60), and you keep watching. Banners around the player are hidden too. Nothing to configure, no account, no data collected. Works in Chrome, Brave, Edge and other Chromium browsers.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
Ad breaks on Twitch kept landing at the worst possible moment, and regular ad blockers can't do anything about them: Twitch stitches the ads straight into the video stream.
So I built No ads for Purple. When an ad break starts, it quietly switches to a clean copy of the same live stream, in the same quality, and you keep watching. If the player ever stalls after the switch, it restarts itself.
What I cared about:
• Nothing to configure: install it and you're done
• No data collected, no analytics, no server of its own
• Click the icon to check that ads are blocked and how many breaks were skipped
Twitch changes its player often, so if ads come back on your side, tell me here and I'll ship a fix.
One last thing: ads are how many streamers make a living. If you love a channel, please support it directly (subs, Bits, donations).
Would love your feedback! 🙏
