The idea to build the app came from wanting to make life easier for ourselves by centralising all the different tools we use for troubleshooting IT and network issues into a central piece of kit. Making it so the tools are in one place, easy to switch to and navigate, so gets rid of the need to install multiple pieces of software and wraps it up into a nice UI. We also added some remote IT checks we found useful that allows you to request specific checks from another machine that has the app which it then sends back for review. All in all, its a tool we use ourselves so thought why not see if others find it useful and try and make it something impressive.

Who hunted Netforge?

Netforge was hunted by Alex Mumford. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
