Nest
Turn your downloaded courses into a learning dashboard
Nest is a local course viewer that scans any folder on your machine and turns it into a clean curriculum with progress tracking, 6 themes, and inline preview for videos, PDFs, and code. One click Cloudflare tunnel for mobile access. No cloud. No data collection.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
We've all been there: gigabytes of downloaded courses sitting in folders, buried under cryptic filenames, with no idea where we left off.
I built Nest to fix exactly that.
Point it at any folder on your machine; it scans your content and presents a clean curriculum tree with sections, progress tracking, and inline previews for videos, PDFs, code, and Markdown. It includes six built-in themes. Everything runs locally—no cloud, no accounts, and no data leaves your machine.
Bonus: One click starts a Cloudflare tunnel so you can access your courses from your phone or share them with others—no port forwarding, no server setup required.
It’s fully open-source and free.

Nest was hunted by Mahid Alam. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
