Maker here. I collect fountain pens and ink and kept the collection in a spreadsheet for years without once opening it for pleasure. So I built the version I wanted to look at: bottles drawn at their real fill level, a page per pen with my own photographs, and a "currently inked" screen for the one thing I could never keep straight.
It was built on refusals: no account, no server of mine, no analytics, no subscription. It syncs through your own iCloud. It imports from Fountain Pen Companion so nobody has to retype a collection, and export is free forever, so nobody is trapped.
